Pawpaws have been around for many years and can still be found at Powhatan State Park. In honor of the park's 10th anniversary, a Pawpaw Festival and 10-mile race are held to showcase the park's natural beauty.

It is normal to see visitors from surrounding states in any Virginia State Park, but Hungry Mother State Park brings them in from across the nation!

Trails are one of the favorites in state parks but they require planning and hard work.
